Seizing #TheMoment online

Three months to design and develop a brand-new digital home for the European Championships (a major multisport event launched in 2018).

The bold idea

Two websites: one focused on Glasgow and one for the main event. A gold-standard brand needed to run across both to ensure a consistent user experience.

The results

One smooth go-live. We built both sites on Drupal in record time. During the events, the sites had a combined total of over 2 million visitors from 221 countries.

We really enjoyed working with Leith and were delighted by the clarity, confidence and boldness they brought to the project. With the short lead time and complexity of this major event, we benefitted greatly from the experience Leith brought with them.

We featured a suite of content, including live schedules, real-time results and medal tables. To compliment these, we created a Media Centre so reporters could access breaking news, and generated embeddable, branded widgets for partner sites to use.
