Leith by the numbers

Leith is an agency that values varied perspectives; it’s not about changing yourself to fit in but about changing it to fit different people. Not only does that make for genuinely sound colleagues and an interesting day-to-day—it’s how we keep creating ace work year after year, and evolving our capabilities as we go.

Our Leadership Team

Group Managing Partner

Richard Marsham

Richard joined Leith in 2002. A Fellow of the Marketing Society, during his 18-year tenure as Managing Partner Richard has overseen the rapid growth of Leith in terms of clients, revenue and staff. A keen walker and rugby fan, Richard’s experience includes many prestigious public and private sector clients, including the Scottish Government and The Macallan, which rumour has it forms a sizeable part of his whisky collection.

Executive Partner

Ed Brooke

Like Richard, Ed joined Leith in 2002. An annual Campaign A Lister, Ed prides himself on building long lasting client relationships. He’s helped IRN-BRU punch above its weight for over 20 years, winning numerous awards and Agency of the Year accolades. After 20 years of fannies and mannschafts for Scotland’s real national drink, Ed’s heard every innuendo you could think of (plus a few he’d rather not think about).

Client Partner

Brian Coane

Brian has a track-record of successfully leading strategic and creative global communications for brands and organisations for over 20 years. He’s held client and agency roles across healthcare, government, utilities, financial services and FMCG. A Council Member of the IPA, Brian is currently leading clients in the Health & Wellbeing sectors at Leith on communications which have helped save lives, change behaviour and shape perceptions.

BRIAN COL

Client Partner

Steve Simpson

A former chair of the Experiential Council and IPM awards judge, Steve leads Leith Links, Leith’s brand experience, partnership and internal communications arm. His own brand experience includes Coke, Guinness, The Macallan and developing IRN-BRU’s insanely successful visitor experience at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games. Passionate about creative solutions, Steve also pioneered partnership marketing at the Scottish Government.

STEVE S COL

Client Partner

Leigh Dobson

With a strong focus on data insight and users being at the heart of everything we do, Leigh manages the multidisciplinary Digital Product Team at Leith. Her 27 years of experience includes building strong relationships with clients such as Nando’s, the National Galleries of Scotland and the Scottish Government. A proud member of the 93% Club and BIMA 100 for Leadership, Leigh is also a Committee Member of WACL Scotland.

LEIGH COL

Head of Strategy

Vic Milne

Vic has been our Head of Strategy since 2021. In 12 years at Leith, she’s been the strategic brains behind countless award winning, behaviour changing and pitch winning ideas, including helping IRN-BRU win the Commonwealth Games. Infinitely curious, passionately creative and bloody straight talking (you could say the epitome of Leith) when Vic isn’t being the voice of your audience she’s keeping things alive – ‘plants, animals and kids, in that order’ she says. Told you she was straight talking.

VIC COL

Head of Finance

Paula Murray

Paula has been at Leith 25 years. In this time, she’s crunched, tallied, balanced, hypothesised, projected, analysed and reported on all things financial for Leith. But our Head of Finance doesn’t just have a head for finance. Paula loves working with Leith’s creative thinkers and is always on the money when it comes to opinions about the work.

PAULA M COL

Executive Creative Director

Troy Farnworth

In 20 years in advertising, Troy has been both a winner and a judge at multiple award shows, including D&AD. He’s won pitches for British Airways, O2 and Royal Bank of Scotland. And he once made an ad with Jackie Chan. Troy puts this success down to knowing the difference between wallpaper and advertising. Talking of which, if you’re renovating your house, Troy’s your man. He’s a mean joiner, kitchen fitter and landscaper. Art Directors, eh?

Executive Creative Director

Phil Evans

Yorkshireman Phil has been at Leith since 2006, creating award winning campaigns across all kinds of sectors. He’s judged at D&AD and Campaign. And been a mentor to countless creatives starting out. Phil’s superpower is unearthing the real, authentic personality of brands. For a pitch, he once sang Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes in the style of a swarm of bees. We won it too. Can you guess the brand?

PHIL COL

Head of Production

Neil Williams

Climbing aboard the good ship Leith in 2021, Neil runs Leith Studios, our full-service production team. He’s worked with Sony Playstation, EE, HP, Adidas and HSBC and was part of the team managing the G20 event in London. Neil loves making cool stuff – he’s headed-up multi award-winning film teams, including Gold Lion winners at Cannes. And he’s supported Man City from way back when they were rubbish (and both Neil and Pep had hair).
