We’re looking for a Sports Sponsorship Intern who can join us from July 4th until August 26th. The role will be split between specific support of an existing high profile client’s national sports sponsorship and ongoing campaign administration across a range of agency clients.

Who are we looking for?

  • Supporting the Sponsorship Manager and Group Account Director with administrative tasks
  • Developing strong working relationships with grassroots sports teams, internal colleagues and clients
  • Good communications skills are required to liaise with grassroots sports teams and suppliers
  • Intermediate knowledge and use of social media channels, predominantly Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. TikTok experience is a bonus.
  • Creative copy writing and ideation for social media posts
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for any necessary documentation that the role requires to be produced (event briefing docs, winner briefings, health and safety etc
  • Quick to learn project management tools to deliver high volume of collateral ahead of events
  • You will be passionate about sport and must have a strong understanding and interest in Rugby
  • Basic IT skills required – using PowerPoint to create presentations to share with the client and a knowledge of Excel is helpful

About the role

Sports Sponsorship:

Coordinating the following:

  • Preparing briefing documents for events
  • Working with production colleagues and suppliers to produce and deliver event collateral
  • Social media posts: assisting in planning, creating / writing and executing posts
  • Attending events playing a supportive role on event days at grassroots sports clubs (some weekend work required)
  • Supporting grassroots clubs with administration to help us fulfil grant payments and deliver merchandise on time
  • Creating wrap up documents to report to the client; capturing social media coverage, and collating key statistics after events take place

Campaign Management:

Working with clients and internal stakeholders as follows:

  • Client liaison - Helping ensure that the agency’s standards and reputation in all external dealings are maintained
  • Project management - Briefing internal departments including our creative studio and, where specified, external suppliers on requirements and job progress. Preparing and maintaining production schedules for projects.
  • Supporting the Sponsorship Manager and Group Account Director with meeting notes, updating status reports and keeping track of event deadlines

Other

  • Essential weekend working for 6th – 7th August
  • Office based role predominantly, in Leith, with occasional match day / weekend working required
