New Business Lead

Established in 1984 on the docks of Edinburgh, Leith has come a long way from its ad agency roots. Ranked the most successful regional creative agency in the UK last year and the 22nd biggest overall, the business now delivers its trademark bold ideas through digital, experiences, social and health, alongside advertising and design across the world.

With exciting growth plans in place, we’re looking to appoint a dynamic and effective new business lead to help generate fresh and exciting opportunities, manage the substantial number of inbound enquiries we receive and work closely with our marketing team to develop joined up strategies that help to generate new business.

We’ve grown significantly over the last few years, and we’re looking for a proven operator to help propel Leith to new heights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Helping to develop a new business strategy for the agency and the execution of this.

  • Being the first port of call for all our inbound enquiries, identifying the opportunities that meet our overall vision, commercial criteria and managing the successful migration from enquiry into the agency.

  • Manage and maintain relationships with new business agencies, keeping them informed of business developments, overseeing target lists of prospective clients and managing new business campaigns.

  • Being live to any tactical new business opportunities, identifying these and acting on them.

  • Working hand in hand with the marketing team at the agency to help develop a highly effective and joined up approach to our new business approach.

  • Helping to develop and deliver core assets to help with our new business drive

Likely Skills & Experience

  • You will be a proven new business game changer with extensive experience in delivering results against commercial targets.
  • You will have a track record of co-ordinating and responding to sizeable tender opportunities.
  • You should have a track record of managing success and results from those who have reported into you.
  • A very strong understanding of how marketing and new business blend together effectively to deliver results.
  • Be able to demonstrate how you have been live to new business opportunities in real time and have responded to them.
  • Be an effective and proven networker representing the agency at new business events.
  • You are approachable, a team player and demonstrate empathy.
  • You will have a growth mindset and a can-do attitude.
  • You will be financially astute, comfortable with reporting at board level.
