This just in! BRU Store, created by our specialist brand experience team, Leith Links for IRN-BRU’s sponsorship of Glasgow 2014, has won the Grand Prix at this year’s Institute of Promotional Marketing Awards.
This topped off three additional gold IPM awards for Non-Alcoholic Beverages, Experiential Activation at a Public Event and Best Sponsorship Activation.
Open throughout the Commonwealth Games, BRU Store was constructed from seven shipping containers and based in the heart of the Merchant City. The Store represented IRN-BRU’s first ever branded destination and included a retail outlet, mini museum and experiential activity. During Games time it became the hub for medal-winning athletes who appeared on the roof to meet their fans, and saw a whopping 150,000 visitors pass through its doors.
The Grand Prix is a much-coveted award, given in recognition of the outstanding promotional campaign of the year – so we’re well chuffed.
Time to crack open a bottle of the fizzy stuff to celebrate… IRN-BRU that is.
