Changing perceptions around dementia

Our latest campaign for the PHA (Public Health Agency) Northern Ireland tackles an issue that affects us all. When we first hear that someone we know, or someone in our family, has dementia, it’s easy to write them off. But this shouldn’t be the case. Dementia does change a person, but it doesn’t mean they’ve lost their identity or can’t live an enjoyable life. And these things are highlighted in our ‘Still me’ campaign. Our ads feature Mary, Ronnie and Liz, who all have forms of dementia. It’s the first time dementia has been highlighted by the PHA, and we hope the bravery of our stars helps change the perceptions around this issue.
